Greetings from Vermont where I am enjoying the beautiful fall foliage while visiting my son and his wife.
After a family viewing of the vice-presidential debate my undecided son signed his absentee ballot... for... OBAMA! Hooray!!! For weeks our family members have been trying to persuade him to join us in supporting Barack Obama, but I think the credit goes to Joe Biden's top-notch debate last night. Or was it a protest against the thought of Sarah Palin being a heart-beat away from the presidency? Whatever his motivations, I am just thrilled! It was my hope for this trip to convince him that Obama offers the most hopeful future for our country. And I am happy to announce - mission accomplished!
My vacation was certainly enhanced by the news that Congress finally passed the buy-out bill. It appears to be a better bill than the original one, so perhaps the delay was worth it. We shall see.

I'm so happy that you're blogging with us at TypePad! PLease let me know if you need any help with anything.

I've been doing the same thing. Persuaded my Sis in Kentucky to switch. Had a devil of a time convincing her Obama wasn't Muslim.
If enough of us do this . . . we'll win come Tuesday!!!!

Congratulations Granny Gobama! I was also able to convince my mom, my husband, and my brother who are all independents in MN to vote for Obama :) Now I'm working on my dad (retired military and on the RNC mailing list), and I think he's almost there.

Hello,
I just finished reading your blog. What a wonderful idea!! I'm responding to an e-mail list that I belong to here in Minnesota - your granddaughter wrote about your blog and gave the link to it. These are exciting times!!

Congrats on early voting! I voted early too- I am in IL, so I voted before 11/4 so that I can go and volunteer on 11/3 and 11/4. I have lived in this country for 16 years now and have never seen this much enthusiasm for a presidential candidate. Go Obama, Go!

I just wanted to tell you that I think your blog is amazing. I'm a mom of three boys that finally officially came out as a Demo to my extremely Republican family. lol It's not been an easy thing, but reading your blog has helped me put things in prospective. Thank you!!!
I am also pleased to say that after quite a few debates with my father, some nice some not so nice he is voting for Obama!!!!! I never thought I'd see the day, but after he researched McCain's health care plan and the lack of plan for the economy my CFO (honest) father can't vote for the party he always has!!! He has a heart condition and is afraid with McCain's health care plan he could loose his insurance and he is a CFO afraid of being dropped! Thank you for being such an inspiration!

Kudos for getting that hard to get vote. I think that's how a lot of people are coming to the movement. They know someone who is convinced, which gives them the open heart to listen then they become convinced and so on.
Thank you very much for putting up this blog. Your granddaughter told our group, Pennsylvania Women for Obama about it. It's very impressive!
I'll stop back again, soon!
